Covid-19 Handover Procedures

  • Clients will be called the day before grooming to confirm whether the household is Covid Free.

  • All grooming will be by appointment only

  • When receiving pet

    • Sanitise hands - groomer and client

    • Maintain 2m distance

    • Stay in an outside area

    • Face masks to be worn

    • Use slip lead and have owner remove their dogs collar

    • Wipe down any internal/external door furniture if used

    • If collecting from a home

      • Owner to open & close doors

      • Groomer to avoid entering the home

      • Hand owner Paws Delight Payment envelope

      • Crate dog in car and ensure safe transport

      • Re-sanitise hands

      • On removal from crate spray crate with disinfect

    • If arriving at grooming room

      • No entry to salon for owner

    • Limit handling of anything (phone, equipment) before bathing dog

    • Wash slip lead in soap and water

    • When returning pet

      • Sanitise hands in front of client

      • Face masks to be worn

      • Take payment by contactless payment where possible, or Paws Delight Envelope

      • If payment by cash, groomer will removed cash and store for 2 days

      • Have owner replace collar & lead

      • Remove slip lead

      • Wipe Payment Envelope with disinfectant

      • Slip lead to be placed away from other equipment to be washed later

      • Sanitise crate and any holding pens
